I jumped into starting my business pretty quickly once I had an idea and felt that I could make it a viable source of income. I was much more excited than hesitant.

This is Tisha Berg’s answer to a question I asked her from the  interview I had with her. She brings up a very important point when it comes to the early stages of starting a business.

Capitalize on your ideas

The biggest fear about starting a business is simply not knowing what’s going to happen. I believe that discourages a lot of people from continuing on the entrepreneurial journey. There’s a ton of people in this world that wish they could start their own business, but fail to do so because of fear.

I mean, who really wants to work for someone else all their life? Not many people do. But they fall into that role because they fear the unknown. They aren’t willing to go out on a limb.

As Tisha said, she jumped at the chance at starting her own business once she figured  out her idea could make a substantial income. That’s the kind of attitude you need as an entrepreneur.

You can’t be afraid to just go for it. Sure you may fail miserably (chances are you’ll fail a lot, but don’t let that discourage you!), but think of how awesome it would feel the day your business launches.

All the sweat you put into it finally paid off. Take advantage of your ideas now. Not later…now!

If you let your ideas sit there collecting dust, that’s exactly where they’ll be years from now. From experience, I’ve found that if you don’t capitalize on your ideas when they’re fresh, chances are they’ll stay exactly that…ideas.

Successful entrepreneurs do not hesitate

If you talk to any entrepreneur they’ll tell you the same thing Tisha said, they jumped at the chance at creating their own business once they had an idea. To me, that’s what being an entrepreneur is all about. Having an idea and not being afraid to put it out there to see where it can go.

If you have an idea and your passionate about it, don’t be afraid to take a risk. You don’t want to be sitting at a dead end job kicking yourself because you didn’t take a chance. You owe it to yourself to at least make an attempt. If you fail, it’s not the end of the world.

Remember

Don’t hesitate. If you have an idea and you can visually see yourself turning it into a business, go for it! Life’s too short to pass on an opportunity. I leave you with this quote:

Without risk, there’s no reward

Cliche, but it’s true.
