Are you willing to die for your success?
An article posted by Jeremy
The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is I’m not afraid to die on a treadmill. You might have more talent then me, you might be smarted than me, but if we get on a treadmill together there’s two things: You’re getting off first or I’m going to die. -Will Smith
If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m a huge Will Smith fan. He embodies all the qualities of a successful entrepreneur and person:
- extreme work ethic
- humility
- passion
What I got from this quote is — no matter what odds your facing never be intimidated by someone who may be smarter or more talented than you.
You have to say to yourself:
The one thing they will never have over me is my willingness to do whatever it takes to become a success.
- You have to be willing to die for your passion (metaphorically speaking of course or maybe not)
- You have to be willing to put in more than the other person puts in; and
- You have to be willing to have a work ethic that is so ridiculous that no one would dare challenge it.
Always remember this
whenever you’re not doing something to improve yourself, somewhere in the world someone else is putting in the work.
Don’t give others that type of advantage over you.

When it boils down to it, what do you think every successful person has in common?

Hey Jeremy,
That's an amazing quote. It's hard for me to say I'd die for my success. I would like to live a little bit longer so I could enjoy the fruits of my success, but that's a good point.
Having the passion to do whatever it takes to be successful is what it takes to get there. I recently wrote on the subject as well.
Hope it helps,
Bryce
Hey Bryce,
Ya it was an extreme title for my post, but the point I wanted to drive home was in order to reach the level of success you'd like in life is to be willing to die for it. Meaning, be willing to do whatever it takes to reach that level.
I'm with you when you say you want to live a bit longer to actually enjoy your success. It's hard for me to say I'd die for it as well, but I'm willing to shed tears, sweat and blood to reach my goals.
Great post by the way. Success doesn't always have to be defined as materialist things. George embodies the true essence of success in life, he's happy.
Hey Jeremy: When it's all said and done - I think every successful has a deep belief in themselves and what they have accomplished. Without that, I can't imagine they would have had the internal power to see things through to the end.
This was thought provoking man. Thanks!
What's up Jk?
"I think every successful has a deep belief in themselves and what they have accomplished"
I completely agree with you on this. I've yet to encounter a successful person who did not believe in themselves. Self confidence will get you through the tough times you'll inevitably encounter on the journey.
Thanks Jk!
Hey Jeremy another great one form Big will. successful people, what I Think successful people have in common is Action, Successful people get moving and thinking in the direction of their goals
Blessing
Be well
Be great
Hey Lloyd,
Completely agree with you. I've yet to encounter a successful person who didn't take action. Without action there is no reward. Nothing in life is given to us, we have to go out and get it!
Appreciate you stopping by and giving me your 2 cents.
I completely advocate the whole notion of working harder, faster, and stronger. No pain no gain. However, what Will Smith forgets to mention is you also have to be working smart. What good is all that effort, if its not going to get you significantly closer to your goal. Hard work is critical- but its no good, if its not strategic.
